Hi beautiful world! I’m Naomi Fix, as a mother and mentor, I reside in beautiful British Columbia on the west coast of Canada with my kids. Thank you for visiting my site! My studio name, cute little crow, is inspired by Crow pose, and my lifelong love of crows – their quirky behaviors and emotional intelligence really resonate with me.
Roots: My journey has been complex and enriched, starting my early childhood in the Northwest Territories after a rocky start for my mom who was solo parenting in Vancouver. She rose from some pretty difficult circumstances and being such a bubbly, fun loving, kind girl, she seemed to find a solid support system when I was kid. Though we were usually found having good times, there were situations that led to chaos and insanity. I’m so lucky to have been blessed with the love of my mother though, we spent many years paralleling in co-regulation on the road to recovery.
Lucid dreaming has been a profound gift since early childhood, shaping my understanding of the subconscious realm, empowering me to heal from trauma, and teaching me how to support others. I cannot speak enough about the benefits of dreaming and how it can have a positive impact on the nervous system, our waking lives and cognitive development.
Growing up I loved exploring nerves, body movement, feelings, and sensorium as part of our human experience. I loved singing, dancing and make believing in a whimsical world of mystic and fantasy.
One of my deepest passions is yoga. At 12, I was gifted mentorship with a loving yogi who guided me in past life regression, holistic therapies, and metaphysical healing. Yoga is an act of self-love that sustains me emotionally, mentally, and physically – it’s endless and mystical and never fails to uplift my soul and relieve pain.
In my younger years I waited tables in my parents’ downtown restaurants in Victoria BC. When I got on my own two feet, a late bloomer, I took a variety of work opportunities in the service industry cleaning homes, offering childcare, tutoring refugees, teaching ESL, and coaching kids in music, acting, and modeling – often with diverse abilities. I also worked in a retirement home which was one of my favorite eras that I made memories in that I am very fond of.
I’ve experienced a wide spectrum of wellness and illness, mentally and physically, yet recognize still to this day, my resilience and ability to grow stronger through practice. Decades of inner child work, therapy, trauma recovery, and metaphysical healing have opened me up. I find joy in exploring neuroplasticity, how trauma travels through our genetical and emotional brain and the way science is entwined with spirituality.
Philosophy: We’re on a journey as humans – it’s normal to hit walls – and it’s natural to have interwoven experiences with other humans. I’ve learned self-advocacy is powerful, but getting there is challenging sometimes. Letting go of old patterns isn’t easy alone. I aim to help you embody yourself through kindness, patience, and self-love.
Promise: My promise is to respect your sacred journey, space, and limits while supporting you firmly with gentleness, acceptance, and heartfelt direction. Our relationship will be built with confidentiality, transparency, honesty, and authenticity. Together we can discover your needs with creative approaches, using wisdom and holding safe space. My experience has become my education, and holistic healing has shifted me from dysfunction to my dreams many times, and I want the same for you.
Whether you are looking to connect once a month for one hour or need to work through heavier or thicker things with more rewiring and somatic shifting, we will find a place to meet, always.
